Sixth Form Talk-Talk event

Last week all Year 12 students took part in a communication workshop run by Talk The Talk, which is a charity that provides staff and students with a range of practical oracy workshops – all delivered by professional experts and qualified teachers, especially trained in the use of oracy as an educational tool.
The workshop allowed students to develop their oracy skills and spoken confidence. They explored different modes of communication, developed effective use of structuring in short talks and presentations and applied persuasive language techniques to get their message across confidently and effectively. The day culminated in students delivering presentations in front of their peers. The Oracy Champions for the day were Miles, Katie, Abbie, Abbie, Alex, Lewis, Helen, Josh, Florrie, Larissa, Connor and Ola. Well done to everyone who took part.
