STUDENTS IMPRESS WITH COMMITMENT, EFFORT AND EXTROADINARY LEVELS OF DETAIL

Last half term, Mrs Richards focused on the Non-Fiction GCSE Exam Paper with her Year 9 and Year 10 classes and set them some similar challenges. One of the extended writing tasks was to create a ‘Rough Guide to…’.

Students were given one lesson to plan and two lessons to create their pieces. They could choose anywhere to focus on: a holiday resort; landmark; theme park; city or country and they had to research as much as they could and create an article for their audience exploring their topic.

It is fair to say that Mrs Richards was overwhelmed with the work she received. Every piece handed in showed commitment, effort and extraordinary levels of detail and gave Mrs Richards hours of enjoyment when reading and marking them! Well done Mrs Richards’ Year 9 and 10s.
