DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD UPDATE

Year 10 – This week’s final after school training session focused on plotting routes in preparation for the qualifying expedition on Saturday 17th July and Sunday 18th July. All students worked really well as a team to plot their routes, which will be crucial to follow during the expedition weekend. Well done to all the Year 10 DofE students for their commitment and effort during the past four weeks. We wish them all well for the forthcoming expedition.

Year 12 – Both sessions this week focused on developing participants’ basic first aid skills. Participants engaged really well and demonstrated good basic first aid techniques. Next week sessions will look to develop participants’ tent and cooking skills in preparation for the practice expedition.
