CALLING STUDENTS TO TAKE PART IN THE ARETÉ FOOD PREPARATION AND NUTRITION CHALLENGE

The Task
The task is to develop a presentation or activity on the subject of healthy eating, suitable for students your age. You should include research around healthy eating, and could also include a healthy recipe suggestion or an image of a healthy meal which you have developed specifically for your challenge entry.

Healthy eating is an important and varied subject. You are encouraged to choose a specific area of healthy eating and to produce your challenge entry around this.

Potential topics could be:
● Sugar intake
● Encouraging young people to make healthy choices at breakfast / break
● Raising awareness of the benefits of a healthy diet

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded for the winner and runner up in each in each Key Stage. All prizes have been generously donated by local businesses. You could win one of the following prizes… vouchers for La Piazza, a Heck sausages bundle, a seasonal produce box from Neeps and Tatties Greengrocers, or a brownie box from Granny’s Kitchen.

CLOSING DATE is Friday 4th June.
WINNERS ANNOUNCED and prizes awarded in the week beginning Monday
28th June. Prizes will be awarded for the winners in each category (KS 3, 4 and 5).

The challenge is open to students in all year groups, in all three Areté Schools – Stokesley, Northallerton and Richmond
