Art Exhibition

14 October 2022  |  fnscreative

We are very proud of the fantastic artwork that our students produce so we were delighted with the Art exhibition we hosted on Wednesday 12th October.  Our end of Year GCSE Art exhibition was a testament to the wonderful talented students we have taught through COVID.

Students, past and present, enjoyed the show and embraced the diversity of work on display ranging from etching, sculpture, textiles and fine art pieces. It was Mrs Riley’s pleasure to finally meet so many family and friends of Year 11 and Year 13 students face to face that evening. We hope the show inspired current students who also took the time to visit the exhibition.

The evening was joyful and Mrs Riley felt privileged enough to hear the ventures of the students and their further studies. One student, Maggie A who received a top grade 9 has gone on to QE Sixth Form where she is studying Film, Graphics & Media as well as being commissioned for animal portraits.

Mrs Riley said “The exhibition plays a vital role for our students, promoting pride and passion to succeed in art. Knowing your work is on show really motivates the students to achieve and the displays really inspire our younger students to express themselves.  Thank you to all who made the effort to take time and come to celebrate our students’ artwork“.
