Former Northallerton School & Sixth Form College student, Scott Lincoln is the second Northallerton alumni to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics in a matter of weeks, after Marc Scott qualified for the 10,000 meters.

In a recent European event in the Czech Republic, Scott was a force to be reckoned with when it came to the shot put event. He threw a personal best (PB) of 21.28 meters, which ensured he qualified for the upcoming Olympic games for the first time.

Scott was a keen athlete in his time at Northallerton School and excelled in a range of team and athletic sports. He has worked very hard to keep on improving as a top class athlete as well as working full time with the family construction business. Scott exemplifies the determination and perseverance needed to become an Olympian and has what it takes to compete with the best in the world.

Students of Northallerton School had the privilege to meet Scott a few years ago when he was asked to present awards at our annual celebration evening. He was an enormous inspiration that evening to many of our students and we hope we can inspire him to perform well at the Olympic Games.

We will be cheering on Scott, Marc and the rest of team GB this summer! What a games to remember, we can’t wait.

The very best of luck guys we are all behind you both.
